Until recently a satellite phone was hugely expensive and not very reliable - how quickly new technology changes things. If you've never heard of a VoIP Satellite Phone, then you are in for a pleasant surprise - satellite internet phone will change the way you make long distance calls forever. VoIP, or Voice over Internet Protocol, or Internet Phone is a technology for changing analog audio signals (like the sound you hear when you talk on the phone)into digital data.
