VoIP Headsets

Computer Headsets and microphones are most often used for free VoIP services.

A budget set of VoIP headsets will cost around $20 which is fine if you won't be using it for long. But if you are going to use the phone for any amount of time it is worth paying extra.

Take it from someone who has worn cheap headsets (years ago doing dictation), they are very uncomfortable and if kept on for any length of time really irritate the ears.

Also with a cheap pair of VoIP headsets the sound quality will be dramatically impaired.

It could be worth looking into a quality VoIP headset like the ones used in call centers.

Expect to pay $100 upwards, but they should last many years.

Another option is to go for a wireless headset.

A wireless telephone headset is much like any other headset but without the wires. Thus it does not restrict you to your desk, you can wander around your home or office.

Do bear in mind that they will have a limit on the distance you can move away from the base station.

Many use the bluetooth technology.
