VoIP Cell Phone

An internet cell phone or VoIP cell phone was only two years ago a far off idea but now is a reality.

The major cell phone manufacturers and designers - Texas Instruments; Qualcomm; Nortel Networks and others are all incorporating VoIP into their cell phones, chips and wireless network equipment.

Most of the major cell phone call operators have been using VoIP internally for a few years to cut down their own costs of operations.

Many have now extended VoIP calls to your cell phone. This move coincides with wireless broadband networks the providers have built, which transmit the data bits fast enough and accurate enough to make a VoIP Cell Phone a reality.

VoIP can definitely be a cheap and easy way to bundle all of you communications together. As technologies continue to move forward and VOIP services continue to improve, providers will continue to offer more affordable and more reliable services.

Cell Phone providers offering VoIP cell phone services generally will charge you a per-minute fee on top of a monthly fee. If you don't use your cell phone very much then it may not be cost effective to change to VoIP however if you make lots of calls and or make regular international calls on your cell phone then it is probably very worth your while and will save you heaps.
